Description

Holiday home, about 25 km north of Norrtälje in Uppland, and here exactly in an old village named Hallboda, which had been founded in 1800!For you it will be convenient, that you can use a beach, which is only 400 meters away and located in a sheltered bay. Here you will have a sandy beach with shallow water and those people, who prefer to plunge into the water, can do this from a footbridge for swimming. Bus connections you will have two times a day, for example to go shopping in the town of Norrtälje. Otherwise the nearest shop will be found at the island of "Vätö".Downstairs in the holiday home you will find a large country-style kitchen, which is well-equipped, among other things with freezer and fridge, microwave, electric cooker, but also with a wood-burning oven. In this area you will also find a small room with open fire, TV and a small toilet. The exit leads to an open veranda westwards and here to a large, shady oak tree. Upstairs you will have a furnished hall and two bedrooms. In an adjacent building you can use shower and washroom, however the use should be coordinated with the guests of the other two holiday homes. The property is large and hence the holiday guests of the other two houses will not disturb you.

    Uppland

    Uppland is a province located on the east coast bordering to the Mälaren lake and is one of the provinces in which the capital, Stockholm, is located in. The second part is located in Södermanland. Traditionally, the line between the two provinces is drawn in the water between the old town and the district of Södermalm in central Stockholm.
    Uppland has about 1.3 million inhabitants, making it the country's most populous region. Of course it has to do with Stockholm and its many job oppurtunites. However, many live in one of all those cities and towns in the Mälardalen region. Many people commute for example from and to Sweden's fourth largest city Uppsala (about 160 000 inhabitants).
    Uppsala is a picturesque university town characterized by the river of Fyrisån, which flows through the city, the cathedral (Gothic brick building dating from 1435 and the largest church in Scandinavia) and the castle. This silhouette is something most inhabitants want to keep, which has lead to the fact that only a few buildings exceed five-six storeys. The University culture is strong and it is perhaps Sweden's most popular university. Fifteen Nobel Prize winners have studied or worked at the university, and among its alumni eight regents and fourteen prime ministers can be found.
    Uppland has 130,000 known archaeological sites and a number of hiking trails for those interested. And we can recommend Roslagen, the archipelago that spreads out along the coast, both on the mainland and islands.
