Description

The holiday cottage "Maj´s Stuga" is one of totally four well-furnished and cosy cabin in the middle of the deep forests of the Dalsland. The surrounding offers a lot of dreamy small and large lakes and lake systems, which invite for swimming, boating and fishing for the most different kinds of fish. The many forest paths and hiking trails are perfectly suited for, for example, cycling tours, hiking or berry and mushroom picking. This lovely little spot of earth really has as its motto relaxation and recreation, and you can determine by yourself whether you want to get in contact with other holiday guests or whether you would prefer to enjoy your holidays in Sweden alone.

Additional information

  • 2 bedrooms (1. with double bed, 2. with bunk bed) + extra bed, when required
  • Electricity will be charged with 2 SEK/kwh (payable at the day of departure directly to the landlord) and will be added extra.
  • Canoes can be reasonably rented in the neighborhood
  • The final cleaning can be ordered at the landlord and costs 325 SEK.
  • Bedclothes can be ordered for 50 SEK/person.
  • The prices are valid for 4 persons, the 5. person costs 15 EUR/night extra.

    Dalsland

    Dalsland is a relatively small province whose extent from the north to south measures 99 km and from east to west 59 km. It is located in western Sweden, with only one place that might be described as a city: Åmal, even though the population doesn't quite match up to the required 10 000 people that the Swedish Board of Statistics (SCB) calls for.
    It is believed that Dalsland belonged to Norway until about the year 1000 AD, but this is not sure. However, the region is popular among our neighbors in the west!
    Despite its size, the landscape is sometimes referred to as a "Sweden in miniature", then it has a highly variable nature. The province's largest lake is Lake Vänern. The Dalslands channel is a channel that allows boat traffic between Lake Vänern and parts of the lake system in Dalslands interior and southwestern of Värmland. The channel crosses the famous aqueduct in Håverud and is in the summer (season June-August) a much visited tourist destination, both for sailing boats, motor boats and canoes.
