Idyllic cottage not far from Stockholm

This charming red cottage with white edges, located in the the area of Roslagen has everything you can ask for to make your holiday something to remember: open fire place, big porch, open sunny meadow like lawn for playing and a wonderful view. The property (2000 m2) is located on a hill with forests, meadows, horses and a small river. The cottage has an up to date interior but has still kept it's original charm. Since there are two different cottages, everyone can find his or hers favourite spot to relax!
The bigger cottage consists of a nice kitchen, spacious living room and a bathroom. In connection to the entry you'll find the big porch. In the kitchen there is an fire place and a dining place over looking the property. There are refridgerator (+ small freezer), microwave oven and oven.
The living room is large and has a dining place for up to six persons infront of the window. There is also a sofa, stereo and even an LP-player. The bathroom is up to date and equipped with shower, zink and a separett-toilet.
The small cottage consists of a storage and a spacious bed room with windows in two directions and a sofa.
The beautifully hilly area of Roslagen has a lot to offer. There are a lot of forest, horses and sheeps can be found on the other side of the river. Once in a while you can also see wild animals like a fox, different birds or even a moose family. This i a perfect holiday location- it's still very close to Stockholm- which can be reached in 40 minutes by car or if you prefer bus it will take about an hour!

    Uppland

    Uppland is a province located on the east coast bordering to the Mälaren lake and is one of the provinces in which the capital, Stockholm, is located in. The second part is located in Södermanland. Traditionally, the line between the two provinces is drawn in the water between the old town and the district of Södermalm in central Stockholm.
    Uppland has about 1.3 million inhabitants, making it the country's most populous region. Of course it has to do with Stockholm and its many job oppurtunites. However, many live in one of all those cities and towns in the Mälardalen region. Many people commute for example from and to Sweden's fourth largest city Uppsala (about 160 000 inhabitants).
    Uppsala is a picturesque university town characterized by the river of Fyrisån, which flows through the city, the cathedral (Gothic brick building dating from 1435 and the largest church in Scandinavia) and the castle. This silhouette is something most inhabitants want to keep, which has lead to the fact that only a few buildings exceed five-six storeys. The University culture is strong and it is perhaps Sweden's most popular university. Fifteen Nobel Prize winners have studied or worked at the university, and among its alumni eight regents and fourteen prime ministers can be found.
    Uppland has 130,000 known archaeological sites and a number of hiking trails for those interested. And we can recommend Roslagen, the archipelago that spreads out along the coast, both on the mainland and islands.
