Luxurious holiday villa with a view of the lake!

Here, on the island of Adelsö in the lake Mälaren, about 40 km northwest of Stockholm, you will find this attractive holiday domicile. It includes three bedrooms, two of them with a double bed each, and one of them with a single bed. Even a smaller extra bed can be placed in the study when required. There is a fully equipped/furnished kitchen with dishwasher, combined fridge/freezer as well as a microwave. The living area has a bright and open layout and the fireplace, which is available there, gives the house a special charm and an extra comfort. Not to forget, the spacious veranda, with a fantastic view of the Mälaren.
As already mentioned before, Adelsö is located about 40 km northwest of Stockholm. There is a regular bus connection to the city and the nearest bus stop will be found right at the property boundary. There is also a ferry boat, free of charge, which goes every 30 minutes to and from Adelsö.
Stockholm is the largest city of Scandinavia and the „Venice of the North“. It offers a lot of sights for the whole family, for example, the old part of the city on an island, named „Gamla Stan“, with the royal castle, the amusement park „Gröna Lund“ or the open-air museum with zoo, named „Skansen“.
But also a certain distance away from Stockholm, on Adelsö, a lot of things can be discovered and explored. Since 1993 Adelsö belongs, together with Hovgården, to the World Heritage Site of „Birka“, which was in former times the most important trading center of the Vikings. A lot of remains and traces of the Vikings will be found on Adelsö, among other things rune stones, and right next to the house, a Viking grave. In summer every day boats go to Birka, where the old settlement was reconstructed. Come to Adelsö and enjoy nature, town, lake, the sea, culture and wellness!

    Stockholm

Our beautiful capital city, also known as the "Venice of the North", is the country's and Scandinavia’s largest city. The inner city has about 850,000 inhabitants and the entire greater Stockholm area more than 2 million. It attracts visitors from all over the world, the number is around 1 million annually.
Stockholm is not a province but is located in Uppland as well as in Södermanland. Since the 17th century the border between Södermanland and Uppland is located in the middle of the water between the districts of Södermalm and the Old Town.
The city is built on water and consists of 14 islands, which are interconnected with bridges. These are located on islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea.
Stockholm has a 750-year history and offers a rich cultural life and a variety of attractions. You can get around by bus, subway or boat. But walking will actually also get you far!
If you want to experience a fantastic view over the city, we recommend a visit to the town hall, where you can climb up into its tower.
The heart of the city is the Old Town with its extremely well-preserved medieval town center. The Old Town is also where you will find the Royal Castle and the Cathedral.
On the green island of Djurgĺrden some of Stockholm's most popular attractions can be found. Visit the world famous warship Vasa, the world's oldest open air museum Skansen, or Astrid Lindgren's amusement park Junibacken as well as Gröna Lund's tivoli. Do not miss to see Stockholm from the water. And should 14 islands not be enough, visit the amazing archipelago with 30,000 islands, islets and reefs.
    Welcome to Sweden's capital Stockholm!
