The holiday home „Solgarden“ is a farmhouse, at least 100 years old, with about 80 square meters of living space, a kitchen, a larger living/dining area, a bathroom and a bedroom downstairs in the house.
Upstairs there is another bedroom and an open sleeping area.
The holiday home can be found at a farm, where mother cows and sheep are managed at present. The small farming communitiy of Krokstorp, consisting of still three other neighboring farms, is located in a area, which is surrounded by a lovely woodland and meadow landscape, inviting for mushroom-picking, berry-picking or walks through the forest as well as cycle tours.
This area belongs to those places in Sweden, which really get only little rain and to the Baltic Sea it is only 10 minutes by car. There are also many clear lakes in the nearer surrounding, which invite to boat tours, fishing and swimming. The nearest bathing beach towards the sea is located at the peninsula of Oknö, which is 15 km away. It also offers good opportunities for swimming, a tennis court and a crazy golf facility.
In the small port of Mönsterås, about 10 minutes away by car, you will find shopping facilities, a medical center, chemist´s, post office, filling stations, tourist information, a golf course and an indoor swimming pool.
Further destinations for trips are, for example, the World of Astrid Lindgren in Vimmerby, the World of Glass in Kosta Boda and Orrefors, the beautiful island of Öland with its white sandy beaches and many sights or all the near old fishing villages.
Also the beautiful port of Kalmar with its castle, many shops, restaurants and sights invites to excursions.
In addition, the place of Aboda-Klingt with lift and ski hire, which is 25 km away, offers opportunities for downhill skiing. This place to go for an outing, is directly located at a lake and invites in summer to swimming and boating or for a long walk around the lake at a hiking trail, existing there.
In Oskarshamn, which is 30 km away, you can cross over by ferry to the island of Gotland or the island of Öland.
