At a spacious forest property

The large holiday home "Björkeberga", which has been renovated in 2008, awaits its guests at a large forest property right in the middle of a lakeland and riverside area in the Skåne region in South Sweden.
About 180 square meters of living space are distributed over two floors. Downstairs you will find a bedroom with double bed, a living room and a dining room, a kitchen as well as shower and WC. Upstairs there are three more large bedrooms, a sauna as well as another shower and WC. There is also a room for a social get-together in case there are some rainy days. A garden with garden furniture, grill and trampoline completes all this.
Three tiled stoves as well as an open fire provide for a special comfortable ambience inside the house.
The surrounding is alternating between long forest sections, meadows, fields and small settlements. Here you will have fantastic opportunities to walk through nature, to canoe, to cycle or to experience cross-countri skiing.
The lakeland and riverside areas of the lake Skeingesjön and of the rivers "Helge å" and "Vieån" are located virtually around the corner and you will reach the waterfront after 300 up to 500 meters. You will have free access to a rowing boat as well as to a Canadian canoe and a kayak. As the house is located in a Natura 2000 area, the water level in the lake and river varies throughout the year. This means that during dry summers it can be difficult to get out by boat and canoe from the boat site.

With this "aid" you will be able to catch the native pike, pikeperch and perch in the right way.
A bit more civilized it is in the locality of Osby, which is 9 kilometers away.
Here you can go shopping and do those things you have to do. In Osby you will also find an indoor pool, tennis courts, a hall for ice sports and the nearest canoe hire, in case you will need some more boats.

Infos about the region Skåne

Skåne, in English known as "Scania", is the southernmost historical province of Sweden and consists of 33 municipalities. The residence is in Malmö, the third largest city of the country.
Due to its mostly flat and slightly hilly topography and the nutrient-rich soils, Skåne is also known as the granary of Sweden. Here 30% of Swedish agricultural needs are covered. The north-east of the province is characterized by wooded hills, typical for Sweden out of gneiss and granite rocks. Skåne has though more to offer more than farmland and rocks: there is at the southern end of the peninsula 400 km of coastline with white sandy beaches, which in every season - but of course, especially in summer – are popular. The sprawling landscape is also a mecca for golfers and within an hour drive you can reach about 70 golf courses. Walkers will enjoy the many hiking trails and skiers will find a great place for their hobby in the area Hallandsåsen. In the snow-free season Hallandsåsen is a popular recreation area, with opportunities to indulge your hobbies.
The history of Scania is still clearly visible. Since it belonged to Denmark until 1658, the dialect spoken in Skåne has many features of the Danish. Likewise, there are still about 200 castles and manor houses in Skåne, many of which are also open to visitors, and the only purely Romanesque church building in Scandinavia, the Lund Cathedral, is located in Skåne.
Today, the province is well known due to the crime novels about Kurt Wallander of author Henning Mankell. They are mostly set in the vicinity of Ystad, a beautiful old town in the southeast with many half-timbered houses.
Welcome to Skåne: An exciting blend of old and new, of urbanity and nature, with short distance to many possibilities.
