Stay typical swedish style in Gudö, close to Stockholm

This mixture awaits you here in a typical red and white timber house in the local authority district of Gudö. And although you could think so, Gudö is indeed not an island.
The small holiday home, which is furnished over two floors, offers upstairs two places to sleep in a beedroom/bedloft under the roof. Downstairs there is a shower and WC, a living room with open fire and Internet connection as well as a kitchen with dining place. A wooden terrace with the sun shining from morning to the evening belongs to it.
In addition you will have access to a washroom with wooden sauna.
Gudö is a rural idyll with paddocks and meadows and a typical holiday home complex as it was usual in the last century. Your holiday home is placed at nearly 1,5 hectare of land and reflects in ths way a bit "Michels" Lönneberg atmosphere with free-range chickens.
Only 150 meters away you will find a public place for bathing at the lakeland and riverside area belonging to the Mälaren, flowing into the Baltic Sea.
Canoes can be rented on-site, about 20 meters away from the house.
The local authority district belongs to the skerry districts of Stockholm and offers its guests, of course, all the advantages of this region. Apart from a very large amount of bathing beaches and bathing bays you will have here also excellent bus connections to the capital, in case you will not use the car. There are boat tours to the islands in the skerries, and sailing, diving, riding, fishing and, of course, golfing are very popular activities around Gudö.
You can make use of the the relations between country life in the skerries and holidays in Stockholm with all the sights and excellent shopping facilities.
Be welcome to the holiday home "Gudö" in Stockholm.

Infos about the region Stockholm

Our beautiful capital city, also known as the "Venice of the North", is the country's and Scandinavia’s largest city. The inner city has about 850,000 inhabitants and the entire greater Stockholm area more than 2 million. It attracts visitors from all over the world, the number is around 1 million annually.
Stockholm is not a province but is located in Uppland as well as in Södermanland. Since the 17th century the border between Södermanland and Uppland is located in the middle of the water between the districts of Södermalm and the Old Town.
The city is built on water and consists of 14 islands, which are interconnected with bridges. These are located on islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea.
Stockholm has a 750-year history and offers a rich cultural life and a variety of attractions. You can get around by bus, subway or boat. But walking will actually also get you far!
If you want to experience a fantastic view over the city, we recommend a visit to the town hall, where you can climb up into its tower.
The heart of the city is the Old Town with its extremely well-preserved medieval town center. The Old Town is also where you will find the Royal Castle and the Cathedral.
On the green island of Djurgĺrden some of Stockholm's most popular attractions can be found. Visit the world famous warship Vasa, the world's oldest open air museum Skansen, or Astrid Lindgren's amusement park Junibacken as well as Gröna Lund's tivoli. Do not miss to see Stockholm from the water. And should 14 islands not be enough, visit the amazing archipelago with 30,000 islands, islets and reefs.
Welcome to Sweden's capital Stockholm!
