Artist´s villa in the skerries of Stockholm

On the peninsula of Älgö, right in the middle of the skerries of Stockholm, you will find this fantastic and modern artist´s villa (built in 2011) on top of a hill.
From this place you will have a view of the sea towards three directions and at the same time you will live here comfortably with nearly all modern conveniences.

You will rent here one half of the villa, so to speak, as a holiday home half, and live in the ground floor. The other half will be occupied by the landlord family. In addition there is an artist´s studio integrated into the house.

At a roof terrace of 140 square meters with outside kitchen and large gas grill you can experience the best of the summer and enjoy it to the full. In addition you will have available an open fire in each of the living room and the bedroom, giving the whole a special comfortable ambience.
Down by the beach you will find a bathing jetty, belonging to the house, and also a boat with engine can be used, has to be shared, however, with the landlord family. In case you are interested, you can also rent a small guest hut with simple standard, which is also located at the property, for example, if the number of guests is more than expected.

Älgö is bordering on Saltjöbaden and is part of the local authority district of Nacka and the inner skerrys of Stockholm. From here you will have good connections by means of public transport both to the inner city of Stockholm (25 min) and to the popular golf course of Saltsjöbaden which is 5 kilometers away. A beautiful experience is also a train journey from the City "Slussen" with the so-called "Saltsjöbanan". After passing lovely exclusive residential areas and beautiful nature, you will reach Saltsjöbaden and the sea after 30 minutes.

Here you will live simply in a perfect way, combining the best of two different worlds.

Infos about the region Stockholm

Our beautiful capital city, also known as the "Venice of the North", is the country's and Scandinavia’s largest city. The inner city has about 850,000 inhabitants and the entire greater Stockholm area more than 2 million. It attracts visitors from all over the world, the number is around 1 million annually.
Stockholm is not a province but is located in Uppland as well as in Södermanland. Since the 17th century the border between Södermanland and Uppland is located in the middle of the water between the districts of Södermalm and the Old Town.
The city is built on water and consists of 14 islands, which are interconnected with bridges. These are located on islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea.
Stockholm has a 750-year history and offers a rich cultural life and a variety of attractions. You can get around by bus, subway or boat. But walking will actually also get you far!
If you want to experience a fantastic view over the city, we recommend a visit to the town hall, where you can climb up into its tower.
The heart of the city is the Old Town with its extremely well-preserved medieval town center. The Old Town is also where you will find the Royal Castle and the Cathedral.
On the green island of Djurgĺrden some of Stockholm's most popular attractions can be found. Visit the world famous warship Vasa, the world's oldest open air museum Skansen, or Astrid Lindgren's amusement park Junibacken as well as Gröna Lund's tivoli. Do not miss to see Stockholm from the water. And should 14 islands not be enough, visit the amazing archipelago with 30,000 islands, islets and reefs.
Welcome to Sweden's capital Stockholm!
