With a view of the Mälaren valley and at the same time on the pulse of the capital

Concerning the holiday home "Mountainview" these two aspects are fullfilled at the same time. On the one hand the holiday home is located only about 200 meters away from the third-largest lake of Sweden and on the other hand Stockholm is only about 20 minutes away.
The house has a rather high location at a rocky property.
Only a few hundred meters away you will find the nearest and really child-friendly place for bathing for the particularly hot days of the year. You will have access here to a boat, for example, to go on a boat tour, or why not using the excellent fishing waters in order to fish for pike or pikeperch. By request the landlord also offers excursions for people who like birds.
The house is located at a hilly wooded property, one kilometer outside a locality where you can find the most necessary service facilities. The nearest bus stop is 800 meters away. From that place you can move as a rule 1-5 times per hour towards the city by means of public transport.
The living room of the holiday home has a corner sofa which can be converted into a bed with a width of 140cm. And you will also have a cosy open fire if it gets cool in the evening. The kitchen includes a dining place for 2 up to 4 persons and the bedroom and the bathroom complete the room arangement.
Stemhamra is located on the island of Färingsö. The best of two completely different worlds is used here, the peacefulness and beauty of the Swedish nature not far from the lake Mälaren with its beautiful bathing beaches and opportunities for fishing on the one hand and the other world, which consists of capital feeling with shopping, sights and, of course, the night life of Stockholm.

Infos about the region Stockholm

Our beautiful capital city, also known as the "Venice of the North", is the country's and Scandinavia’s largest city. The inner city has about 850,000 inhabitants and the entire greater Stockholm area more than 2 million. It attracts visitors from all over the world, the number is around 1 million annually.
Stockholm is not a province but is located in Uppland as well as in Södermanland. Since the 17th century the border between Södermanland and Uppland is located in the middle of the water between the districts of Södermalm and the Old Town.
The city is built on water and consists of 14 islands, which are interconnected with bridges. These are located on islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea.
Stockholm has a 750-year history and offers a rich cultural life and a variety of attractions. You can get around by bus, subway or boat. But walking will actually also get you far!
If you want to experience a fantastic view over the city, we recommend a visit to the town hall, where you can climb up into its tower.
The heart of the city is the Old Town with its extremely well-preserved medieval town center. The Old Town is also where you will find the Royal Castle and the Cathedral.
On the green island of Djurgĺrden some of Stockholm's most popular attractions can be found. Visit the world famous warship Vasa, the world's oldest open air museum Skansen, or Astrid Lindgren's amusement park Junibacken as well as Gröna Lund's tivoli. Do not miss to see Stockholm from the water. And should 14 islands not be enough, visit the amazing archipelago with 30,000 islands, islets and reefs.
Welcome to Sweden's capital Stockholm!
