Stunning country landscape typical for Sörmland.

Stay in this beautiful newly renovated (2013) apartment in a large country house. (Interior photos follow soon!) Through the windows you can see the beautiful landscape of Södermanland. The house is lined with flower beds where roses grow.

Eneby Manor is an old rectory from 1764. Your hosts live in the main building and the main courtyard. The property is located across the street from Sköldinge Church, dating from the 1100s. On the farm the old workers’ mansion work from 1939 is located. The house is traditionally painted in falu-red. In spring, the house receives a facelift with new paint on the facade and around the windows.

The workers’ mansion has three apartments, all with a separate entrance. On the front of the house there are beautiful flowerbeds with roses “Sarah Bernard”. This summer is the first rental season for the newly renovated room apartment of about 80 sqm located on the second floor.

Most rooms in the three room apartment have a view overlooking the fields. The Master Bedroom overlooks the village's small church. The bedroom has two 90 cm beds that can be pushed together. The Master Bedroom has a separate, adjacent shower and toilet. Overall, there are two shower rooms with a toilet in the apartment. Both are completely renovated (2013) in gray, white and chrome. The separate bathroom in the hallway has a large generous shower.

The modern kitchen with white cabinets is also new with new stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. There is also a large wooden dining table and chairs around. All rooms in the apartment are painted white. Throughout the apartment there are nice wooden floors, white walls and white linen curtains that can be hoisted up and down. The other "adult bedroom" is adjacent to the kitchen. There we have two 90 cm beds that can stand alone, or be pushed together.

In the small "children's room" there is room for two people and it is furnished with a pull-out bed.
In the middle of the apartment is the living room with two white sofas. There is also a white TV bench with a great flat screen TV and DVD player. The landlords offer some reading material on what to do in the municipality. Katrineholm municipality offers a lot of things for big and small, both in culture and sports.

From the farm you can walk a 6 km promenade through beautiful landscapes. About 1,5 kilomters from the farm, there is also a lighted track of around 2,5 to 3 km length. Several nice lakes with well-kept beaches can be reached within 7 km from the house.

There is also garden furniture with a parasol belonging to the apartment, put onto a pristine spot on the back of the house.

On the host couple's part of the farm lives a guard dog and a cat. They also have chickens in the hen house. The chicken house is located on the other side of the farm seen from the workers’ mansion. You can buy fresh eggs from happy hens.

Infos about the region Södermanland

The province borders in the south to Östergötland, in the west to Närke, in the northwest to Västmanland, in the northeast to Uppland and in the east and southeast to the Baltic Sea.
The capital Stockholm is situated partly in Södermanland. The second part is located in Uppland. Traditionally, the line between the two provinces is drawn in the water between the old town and the district of Södermalm in central Stockholm.
Södermanland, popularly known as Sörmland, refers to the land south of the lake Mälaren. Like Uppland in the north, the province has numerous ancient remains (nearly 100,000) and a large population that approximately amounts to 1.1 million people.
The province is dominated by lowland and wooded hills, and of the many lakes. So it is a typical flat landscape; Södermanland is nowhere more than 200 meters above sea level.
The characteristic landscape type is formed by a combination of faults that mainly go in the direction from the east to the west, and large river valleys. Through these faults the land sunk from the south to the north, so that the crack along the fault on the north side was lowered, while the south remained.
Södermanland is also the center of the Swedish nobility with a variety of mansions.
Just as Södermanland, Uppland has a fantastic archipelago, both the part called the Stockholm Archipelago (east of Södermanland's Södertörn peninsula) and the one outside the coast of Södermanland.
